TRICARE Young Adult Fix Excluded From NDAA

“These young adults are the same kids who spent their childhood worried about mom or dad while they were deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan,” said Besa Pinchotti, NMFA Executive Director and CEO. “They served alongside their military parents, changing schools over and over again, leaving friends behind—understanding it’s all part of military life. They deserve the same access to affordable health coverage their civilian friends have.”

I've seen the tragedy of Camp Lejeune — we can't wait any longer to help those impacted by toxic water

"August is National Water Quality Month. That’s as good a time as any to fix America’s long — and shameful — history of water contamination across dozens of U.S. military bases. The growing list of chemicals found in drinking water of our service members and their families would shock you; but the list of resulting diseases, deformities and deaths should bring you to tears. [...] When an American volunteers to serve, they don’t agree to put their family in harm’s way. But that’s just what happened, and it’s our turn to fix it."

Read Besa Pinchotti's full op-ed here: https://loom.ly/-LXNSlU

We cannot wait any longer to pass the Camp Lejeune Justice Act. Congress, let’s finish the job.

Ridiculous
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that children of veterans can no longer be on their insurance after 21/23. My husband and I both served with my husband giving over 20 years and retiring. Other insurances cover dependents until 26 and with Tricare coverage once the child graduates from college there is no grace period giving them time to find a job, they come off the day they graduate. This is absolutely insane and the cost of Tricare Young Adult is ridiculous! Our children had to watch their father deploy and this is what they get? Come on Tricare your Veterans and their children deserve better.

This is the fate of so many who have honorably served, and are being pushed to the brink on the altar of something they have all already beaten. Please share with your military friends so they know they are not alone.
Hi! My daughters are excited to go to camp next week but I need more information that hasn’t yet been provided and I can’t seem to get a hold of anyone at the number listed. Are there any other reliable methods of communication?
What happens to high school graduates? Sometimes they go directly to the military and spend the next 30 plus years serving this country. Hear about WHS 1990 graduate Lt. I seen the article referencing National Guardsmen struggling to feed their families and just wanted to know if anyone has said our military personnel in the middle east are not getting enough to eat while working 14-16 hours a day! When you hear that deployed military men and women are going hungry after working 14-16 hours a day with one day off a week it's absolutely heartbreaking! All this money the government is spending and they can't provide enough food for our young men and women in the middle east?????
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! "all gave some ..some gave all." ..dedicated to our military friends, families & fans. .
