Community Clean Up In Progress I have created this page to show the efforts my supporters and I are making to clean up the trash in my community of Juneau, Ak. Venmo -McRae-1.

Paypal ✌️❤️ I wanted to make a difference. I created this page to bring awareness to our litter problem. To show efforts made to combat it and hopefully encourage others to mind their trash and help pitch in. I am not a non profit or a business. All efforts made are on my time, my vehicle, my dime, with the exceptions of the generous donations of supplies received by my community members. I am working on becoming more than just a gal picking up trash. But until then I hope to spread awareness, encourage others and most of all make a difference for us all. This September, NAMI Juneau is partnering with the Juneau School District to offer a Signs of Su***de (SOS) presentation for parents and caregivers.

Students in grades 7–12 will be learning the SOS program in school, and this presentation allows parents, caregivers, and other trusted adults to learn the same language and ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) approach through videos and group discussion.

Through videos and group discussion, we’ll explore the ACT approach and ways trusted adults can support young people, encourage open conversations, and connect them with support when needed.

A light dinner will be provided, and youth activities will be available during the presentation.

This box of kittens was found at the northern Breadline Bluff Trailhead along Glacier Hwy between Cohen Drive and the Shrine of St. Therese on Tuesday, August 25. We are looking for any information related to these kittens. If you happen to recognize these animals or have any information about this incident, please contact Animal Control at 907-789-6997.

Remember folks, taking recycling to the dump is FREE, taking hazardous waste to the facility at the dump is FREE, taking scrap metal to Skoocums towards Costco is way affordable. Here are some screenshots of information for recycling and hazardous waste. Please consider these options before dumping in our community, Thank you.
