Team Carrillo was proud to recognize LaKayla Thompson at the 4.0 Student Recognition Celebration at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds. As a dedicated student and high achiever, LaKayla received a $2,500 scholarship from my office to help support her transition to college. I congratulate her on this well-deserved accomplishment and look forward to seeing all she achieves in the future.👏🎊🥳

Today, Mojave Water Agency officially broke ground on the West Victorville Groundwater Banking Pilot Test Project, an important investment in the High Desert's water future.

This 40-acre facility is designed to expand groundwater recharge capacity, allowing imported State Water Project supplies to be stored underground during wet years and available when needed during future droughts. Once operational, the project is expected to add an estimated 12,000 to 18,000 acre-feet of annual recharge capacity and provide valuable data that will help guide future groundwater banking efforts throughout the region.

Thank you to our Board of Directors, staff, project partners, elected officials, contractors, engineers, and community stakeholders who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Together, we are building a more resilient water future for the communities we serve.
