Brush 22, Crew 24 , Dallesport Fire and Chief 24 are out off East 9th street for a small grass fire. 🔥 Crews were able to knock the fire down quickly. With today’s wind, temperature and relative humidity lower than we would like, please use caution ⚠️ in anything outside!

MCFR crews are On-Scene of a grass fire behind Fred Meyer. Engine 21, Brush 21, Brush 23, Crew 24, Tender 23, Chief 24 and ODF all responded. Crews are in mop-up at this time and shoppers have been allowed back inside Fred Meyer.

Crews are responding to a grass fire across from Parks and Recreation in the Dalles by AutoZone.

Update: Crews from ODF, USFS, Dallesport and MCFR responded to the fire 🔥 and were able to stop forward progress at roughly 1.5 acres. Crews will remain on-scene to finish mop-up over the next hour. The fire is currently under investigation.

Dry conditions aligned with our local gorge winds and warmer temperatures are generating an uptick in fires. Please follow burn regulations, be fire safe and report fires early!

MCFR and ODF are on scene of a grass fire near milepost 81 along Interstate 84. Please use caution in the area, ODOT and Law Enforcement are assisting with traffic control.

MCFR crews are currently out on two separate structure fire Incidents. One off east 9th street and another out on Browns Creek. Both incidents are currently in mop up. Our team is being supported by neighboring agencies and law enforcement.

MCFR crews were dispatched at 7:39 PM to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of E. 14th St., following reports of an oxy-acetylene tank explosion.
Engine 21, Truck 23, Chiefs 21 and 24, along with Fire Medic units 21, 22, and 25, The Dalles Police Department and Wasco County Sheriff’s Office responded.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire primarily to the garage. At this time, there are no reported injuries.
MCFR personnel will remain on scene for the next couple of hours.
