October is National Farm to School Month! 🍓🍖🥛

To celebrate, we are reminding 2nd grade educators in Shawnee County to register their classrooms for our annual Farm to You event on April 6, 2027. From Farm to You is an educational program designed to introduce students to agriculture and the role it plays in their lives.

Food is something we all depend on, but it isn't always accessible for everyone. From supporting farmers to reducing waste, there are ways we can all help make a difference!

How to reduce food waste:
🥕 Plan meals and shop with a list.
❄️ Store food safely to help it last longer.
🍲 Repurpose leftovers into another meal.

You can also support people experiencing food insecurity by donating to a local food bank or organizations like Feeding America, the World Food Programme, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). 🍞
