Yesterday, the Ministry of the Public Service and Disaster Risk Management welcomed Mr. Kishan Khoday, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative from the Multi-Country Office in Jamaica, for a meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in disaster risk management, resilience building, and public sector development in Belize.

The meeting brought together Minister Hon. Henry Charles Usher, CEO Mr. Rolando Zetina, Mr. Michael Lund, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Deputy Resident Representative to Belize, and Mr. Chad Bowman, UNDP Programme Lead. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination in disaster risk management, identifying opportunities to support public sector capacity building, improving national preparedness efforts, and deepening collaboration on initiatives that contribute to Belize’s long-term resilience and development.

The Ministry values its partnership with UNDP and looks forward to continued collaboration aimed at strengthening national resilience and improving the delivery of public services for the people of Belize.
