Uniquely, Connecticut requires (at least) an ammunition certificate to purchase ammunition. Most states do not. There is no evidence that this requirement makes anyone safer ... in fact, it is really just a hamper to local economy, when instead of purchasing the product here, the consumer makes their purchase in another state, and brings it back here. But, then again, it is not safety that they really care about. Otherwise, they would actually enforce our current laws, without creating more.

An EXTREMELY sad day for the hockey world.

Makes me think of part of a Kenny Chesney song:

"Skeletons in closets,
Ghosts underneath the bed,
They hide out in pictures,
And in words better left unsaid,
They hang around like perfume,
And haunt me like an ancient melody,
When I'm not chasing demons,
There's demons chasing me."

Did CT Democrats BAN G***k handguns in 2026?

In the 2026 legislative session, Governor Lamont proposed that all handguns which have a cruciform trigger bar (which is generally almost all G***ks, as well...

Recently, I proposed legislation to double the term of a long gun eligibility certificate, a handgun eligibility certificate, and a pistol permit from five years to ten, and for ammunition certificates from five years to no expiration date. Unfortunately, House Democrats voted down this commonsense legislation, requiring that Connecticut's law-abiding citizens are required to pay a fee every five years to exercise this Constitutional Right.

“Last week, the federal government filed a lawsuit against Connecticut, calling the law ‘blatantly unconstitutional’ and saying the state has no authority to tell federal agents what they can and cannot do. A spokesperson from the State Police told CT Mirror that their agency had not received any reports of ICE agents conducting arrests while masked. They said the state police ‘does not investigate federal agencies.’”

The encounters took place just weeks after CT Gov. Ned Lamont signed into law a bill that prohibits immigration officers from wearing masks.

Recently, I proposed legislation to eliminate the fee to apply for a fi****ms permit. Unfortunately, House Democrats voted down this common sense legislation, requiring that Connecticut's law-abiding citizens are still required to pay a fee to exercise this Constitutional Right.

“Despite being dues-paying members of AFCSME and 4Cs, neither Bilodeau nor Ormond has been able to obtain financial reports detailing how their dues are being spent."

“‘It’s simple: I want to know where my money is going. Right now, it feels like my union dues disappear from my paycheck and go to some faceless, nameless decision-maker upstate who refuses to tell me how much is being spent or why.’ Earl said in a summary of the case on The Fairness Center’s website. Earl also said 4Cs promotes political causes he doesn’t agree with and that members don’t receive an explanation of how dues are spent.”
