We had the pleasure of cheering on the Belgian national Powerchair Hockey team!

This Thursday, 28 May, we were welcomed by and Mr. Marc Vergauwen, board member of World Ability Sport.

During this exciting match between Belgium and Australia at the Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, both teams delivered clutch performances in critical moments, but the match ended in a tie.

Powerchair Hockey is an inclusive, fast paced team sport designed for differently abled athletes. A discipline that shows high level performance, tactical intelligence and international competitiveness. These athletes prove that with equity, access, and opportunities, everyone can achieve infinite possibilities.

World championship 2026 in on this weekend. Don’t miss out and support our athletes!

For the first time ever, we organised a viewing party of the Tour of Flanders in Helsinki 🇧🇪🚴‍♂️🇫🇮
Together with and we brought one of Belgium’s most iconic races and a slice of Flemish cycling culture to a Finnish audience.
The event was sold out well in advance, with a great crowd, a fantastic vibe and an unmistakably international atmosphere. Proof that the Tour of Flanders feels right at home even far beyond Belgium.
Great racing, great company and great food too: waffles, Belgian beers, chocolate and a proper Flemish stew to round it all off.
No Belgian winner this year, but a winning evening nonetheless. A first edition to remember — and definitely not the last. Credits to for the beautiful pictures

In 1944, Estonia reclaimed its independence for two short days during which this flag floated on top of the Presidential Palace at Kadriorg. On the day the soviets invaded, a 15 year old boy took it down and hid it wrapped on his body as he flew to Germany and then Australia with his mother. After his death, the flag was handed to Minister to be displayed in the National Museum.

Repost: Meet Noomi Linjama, our Ambassador for a day!

To celebrate International Women’s Rights Day, 18-year-old Noomi Linjama takes over the reins of the Embassy of Belgium in Helsinki. Through this video, follow her first steps into the diplomatic world, from attending military meetings and meeting the Prime Minister of Finland to handling the building’s electricity issues!

Noomi embodies a new generation carrying forward the legacy of countless women who fought before her.

Belgium reaffirms its deep commitment to women’s rights. Doing this in Finland, the first country in Europe to grant women the right to vote and stand for election in 1906, reminds us that equality is built every day.

Hyvää naistenpäivää kaikille! (Happy international women’s day to all!)

Have you ever tried Belgian dishes? Well, you're in Helsinki and you want to try a new experience? We have great news for you!

The newly reopened Ravintola Belge brings Belgian flavors, friendly vibes and a touch of home to the heart of the city. From Belgian fries 😉, to Belgian beers, it's the perfect place to experience Belgium's warm hospitality over a meal, without leaving Finland!

Our Ambassador took part to the reopening celebration to welcome those who shares a love for Belgium but also for good food and good company. Come by, have a sip (or two 😉😉) and enjoy a little piece of Belgium in Helsinki.
