In the presence of Ambassador Takács and embassy trade attachés, American Airlines today officially launched its first direct flight connecting Philadelphia to Budapest. ✈️

Direct routes like this play a crucial role in strengthening the cultural and economic ties between our nations, boosting tourism, and bringing our peoples closer together.

We extend our sincere thanks to American Airlines and Philadelphia International Airport for making this new connection possible. We also express our deep appreciation to our Honorary Consul in Philadelphia, Edith Schwartz, for her steadfast support in helping this important initiative come to fruition. Hungary’s new Foreign Minister, Orbán Anita, emphasized during her hearing earlier in the week that "there is no sovereign country without a sovereign foreign policy.” She underscored Hungary’s firm commitment to the European Union and NATO, stressing that advancing our national interests requires active, credible diplomacy rather than isolation. 🇭🇺 🤝 🌎

FM Orbán stated that transatlantic relations remain "decisive", noting that as NATO’s leading power, the United States is a pivotal partner in security cooperation. She also underscored the essential need to bolster European capabilities, as Hungary’s interest lies in a stronger Europe—one that coordinates more effectively on security matters and maintains a productive partnership with the U.S. 🇭🇺 🇺🇸 🇪🇺

Magyarország új külügyminisztere, Orbán Anita, hétfői meghallgatásán hangsúlyozta, hogy „nincs szuverén ország szuverén külpolitika nélkül”. Kiemelte Magyarország határozott elkötelezettségét az Európai Unió és a NATO iránt, nyomatékosítva, hogy nemzeti érdekeink érvényesítése nem elszigeteltséget, hanem aktív, hiteles diplomáciát követel meg. 🇭🇺 🤝 🌎

Following their appointment by the President of Hungary, the ministers of the new Hungarian government, led by Prime Minister Péter Magyar, have officially taken their oath of office at the Parliament building. With the ceremony complete, the new cabinet formally commences its mandate to serve the nation.
A new chapter begins! Hungarian diplomacy is now led by Orbán Anita 🇭🇺

A köztársasági elnök általi kinevezésüket követően a Magyar Péter vezette új kormány miniszterei az Országházban ünnepélyes keretek között letették hivatali esküjüket. Az eseménnyel a kabinet tagjai hivatalosan is megkezdik kormányzati munkájukat.
